Arasan Chess is a chess program designed for Windows and Linux. It is copyrighted, but allows free distribution, with certain restrictions. The Windows version of Arasan Chess runs on Windows 95, or more recent versions. Linux is only in the source, the game requires GCC 3.3 or higher. Chess Arasan has both user interface and Windows-based console for use with Winboard or Xboard. Arasan also interacts with Arena, another free chess game interface. Arasan Chess open book contains more than 50,000 movements.
